Our revival of Scottish #spongewear begins with research, looking for patterns from the JMP Bells Glasgow Pottery sherds, finding the right tools - sponge density - soldering irons, for making the marks. We play, test & dig into the knowledge we have from the mostly lost history.

Went on a much-needed "brain processing reading" walk and visited the Bethir.

In Scottish folklore, the Beithir is described as "the largest and most deadly kind of serpent". Considered one of the ‘Fuath’ (monsters and spirits associated with water), found dwelling in remote mountainous caves and corries, usually within close reach to a river or loch.
