There have been more then 4.5 million visits to SCS in this country, there is a need whether you ideologically agree or not. Shutting them down while In an emergency would be catastrophic. Here’s data on them health-infobase.canada.ca/datalab/superv…

Given that the Supreme Court has already weighed in on this, I can’t imagine a bigger waste of taxpayer money or valuable time in the middle of a devastating public overdose crisis caused by unregulated fentanyl in the street supply than trying to close these sites

this is actually not about addiction. and since decriminalization didn't cause fentanyl to enter the drug market (doye), what did? why did fentanyl and other synthetic opioids enter the drug market in the downtown eastside and quickly saturate the entire province in late 2015?

The CPC are constantly rage farming with their political theatrics while people die. These are vital services for people. They have reversed over 50,000 overdoses since 2017. More people would be dead without them. A bar is more of a “drug den” then this health care service.

It’s publication day! ✨ I find myself reflecting on the 337 physicians, pharmacists, and enforcement agents who invited me into their clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, and offices to tell me about their work. They were all struggling to make a dent in the overdose/pain crisis 1/2

Compassionate opioid overdose response isn't about slamming people with the most powerful antagonist possible. It is about restoring and maintaining oxygenation through rescue breathing and judicious use of naloxone. International Journal of Drug Policy sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

the real scandal is that the governing BCNDP have not seriously tried to implement any of these policies. they were never funded anywhere close to adequately, never planned, never mentioned, never happened oh except treatment: funded but not real. where's the money
