Thanks @cmadocs for the discussion and draft recommendations for public and private health care and Dr. Joss Reimer for highlighting some of these key issues.
Iβm fortunate to work at a family health team in ON. Itβs family MD led, w/ comprehensive primary care services (OHIP funded) delivered collaboratively by interprofessional health care providers, including pharmacy. More investment in β¬οΈ model is needed. theglobeandmail.com/business/articβ¦
For the cost of 2 hospitals... primary care for everyone? That seems like a bargain to me. Everyone should take 3 minutes and read this op-ed from Dr. Sarita Verma (She/Her) Jane Philpott and Danielle Martin . ottawacitizen.com/opinion/martin⦠NOSM University | Université EMNO Ontario Medical Association @ontariocollege
We are at a critical point and we need a health human resources plan, AND an implementation strategy, to support equitable access to care for Ontarians, & equitable access to clinical teaching for learners. Especially for the North. We can do this in Ontario! Ontario Medical Association
Small communities without health care access will not thrive economically . If we want a thriving economy in Northern Ontario, we need to ensure robust access to health services locally. We can do this in Ontario. NOSM University | UniversitΓ© EMNO Ontario Medical Association FedNor
