Extremely disappointing presidential address at the STS meeting and so far an inadequate response from the Society.  I wasn’t at the meeting and would be happy to watch the address for myself, but STS isn’t making it available.

Over 20,000 people have lost their lives, and countless more injured in earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria. In northwest Syria, where communities are among the most disadvantaged and cut off from rescue efforts, safe and secure access to aid should be secured.
