Excited to have had my abstract accepted for the International DLD Research Conference in Sept! A great opportunity to present my research into the barriers and facilitators of DLD diagnosis with a focus on ‘Adults missing the DLD boat’. The DLD Project #devlangdis #mySLTday

🆕in ASHA Journals' SIGPerspectives, Natalie Manley & @amywilder78 suggest supports for chn with #DevLangDis+#ADHD. "Although this article focuses on difficulties experienced by children with DLD+ADHD, it is important to note these chn’s many strengths".👍 pubs.asha.org/doi/epdf/10.10…

In my work, I often come across the assumption that once you have an evidence-based innovation, you implement it and achieve desired results. I wish it was that simple. Implementation is gradual, multifaceted, dynamic, iterative, and often, unpredictable. Embrace the wiggly path!

Thinking about all those children and parents and carers for whom this week is a nightmare, for those who struggle daily in school, for those have no school, for those who live hidden. We see you. #SEND #autism #ADHD #carers Thanks Missing The Mark Eliza Fricker for the drawing.

I couldn’t love this game any more if I tried. Watch how mom engages baby in a two step process here. There’s the gentle head tilt and the “ahhh” sound. Initially baby manages the tilt, but not the sound. So what does mom do? She adds it for her and keeps the game going.
