At the consecration and enthronement of the Rt. Rev. Michael Chorey this afternoon, H.E. Y.K. Museveni, in a message I read for him, called upon religious leaders to preach social-economic transformation in Karamoja.

I have, this afternoon, launched the Generating Growth Opportunities and Productivity for Women Enterprises Loan Programme worth over Shs 300 billion. I congratulate the government on a huge milestone towards the economic empowerment of women.

I have today evening been commissioned as a member of the Uganda Scouts Association at Kaazi Scouts Camping Training Centre, Wakiso, where I was representing H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the closing ceremony of the Scouts Education Camp 2024.

This evening, I have had productive meetings with Chinese investors. I have called upon them to continue supporting infrastructural, industrialization, and digitization strategies in Uganda.

Listening to H.E. Xi Jinping yesterday evening, articulating messages on consolidating China-Africa community cooperation with a shared future, was a great encouragement and motivation towards our socio-economic transformation.

It was with great pleasure and gratitude that I witnessed the signing of two protocols between the Government of Uganda and China. Uganda has been cleared to export chillies and aquatic products (fish) to China. This will go a long way in transforming our economy.
