Fantastic talk by Prof Murphy ⭐️ less than 10% of women with T2DM are adequately prepared for pregnancy ⭐️ it takes these women 2 weeks longer to access antenatal clinic than women with T1DM #MOMS23

Staggering statistic that for the first time in 2021 type 2 diabetes in pregnancy was more common than type 1. Glycemic control really matters for pregnancy outcome #MOMS2023 #savingbabieslives

Impt work from #TOBOGM team showing early diagnosis of #GDM is associated with 'normal' rates of breastfeeding compared to women who are diagnosed later. It's difficult to do RCTs of breastfeeding, but evidence suggests it's impt way of reducing risk of #T2DM after GDM.
