Looks intriguing - Salmonella SopB has an immunosuppressive effect. During infection of neonatal mice, SopB reduces epithelial chemokine expression, delays mucosal immune cell recruitment, reduces barrier impairment by enterocyte necroptosis, & prevents disease progression.
