Organizations like Consumer Reports, Environmental Working Group, Moms Across America, & Children’s Health Defense are not credible sources. They have histories of anti-science activism that promote disinformation that is profitable for them. Don’t use them as references.

Glyphosate, a broad-spectrum herbicide, has been demonized for decades, even though it has lower toxicity than even acetic acid (yes, vinegar), used as an herbicide in organic farming. Why? Anti-science activists profit by scaring people & hindering scientific progress. 1/

Reality: glyphosate is less acutely toxic, has low ecological impact, and does not pose risks to human health. Anti-science activists exploit chemophobia and the appeal to nature fallacy because they lack evidence. Read more ⬇️ immunologic.substack.com/p/glyphosate-a…

ALL of these agencies have concluded that glyphosate does not pose human health risk, acute or chronic. Yet, people blatantly ignore risk assessments from scientific experts around the world because some activist group uses the word β€œtoxic”. We have a science literacy problem.

I love when physicians who are LITERALLY grifting and selling snake oil to people for personal profit accuse scientists providing free fact-checks grifters. It’s the appeal to motive fallacy, btw. The call is coming from inside the house, bro.

This logic (or lack of) from a physician is wild. Let’s try this one on: β€œYou think water is so safe?! Why don’t you INHALE it?” Basic science principles matter.

Let’s revisit basics: The dose makes the poison. With EVERYTHING. Everything is chemicals. Even you. You’re a sack of chemicals. Natural chemicals aren’t better or safer than synthetic ones. The source of a chemical has no bearing on potential harm.

FDA was created to keep us safe. Before it, β€œmiracle elixirs” filled with almost anything were sold, bc testing wasn’t required. Massengil's Elixir Sulfanilamide (1937) contained literal antifreeze (diethylene glycol (DEG)), which killed people. Tell me how it was better then.

For everyone that got big mad about my comments on glyphosate, a prompt: Describe the shikimate pathway, the impact of glyphosate, and how glyphosate tolerance is accomplished? Be specific. Then, what’s the mechanism in people? I’ll wait…
