Jenrick says we need to sack 100,000 civil servants to make the state function properly. Itโ€™s to the point now where I think his leadership campaign is just an intentional joke, a trolling exercise that got out of hand.

It's in all our hands now No matter who we are, this is no matter of winning the common sense argument that 2 years of PA studies can replace 10 - 15 years of Medical training If you sincerely object, then your money is urgently needed to force the issue crowdjustice.com/case/stop-mislโ€ฆ

PA Stephen Nash The BMA Royal College of Physicians RCGP that's factually inaccurate- I am not aware of it being cancelled. Where did you hear that? You don't think the RCP guidance will be enough too? So what next? You will write your own? What happens if you don't find supervisors? No need for that either?

Burnt Toast (@burnt2020) 's Twitter Profile Photo

PA Stephen Nash Thanks. Message to all GPs is do not employ PAs Message to hospital doctors do not agree to train, supervise, or take any liability for PAs Problem solved.

PA Stephen Nash Other professionals have completed accredited, standardised courses. They are regulated. You have undertaken a 2 year course in PA studies. Not medicine. You have decided that you are equivalent to middle grade drs. What evidence do you have to substantiate this claim?

Mohammed Abdul-Latif (@mohammedlatif) 's Twitter Profile Photo

PA Stephen Nash Why do PAs have different standards/entitlement to doing the same day-to-day job of doctors? If you want to work like a doctor then become one. Otherwise PAs will work within tight and supervised roles, the scope of which is determined nationally as red lines to stay within.

I, a doctor, recently sat in coroners court, as a family member of the deceased, after a paramedic taking a 111 call failed to recognise the severity of my auntโ€™s condition. Here is a thread that no one asked for of what it feels like to be on the other side:

Dr Dr H This an excellent thread and all doctors should read this. I have been to a coroners court several times for various reasons and Dr Dr H gives some good advice around behaviour. Over the horizon of a career we are all likely to end up thereโ€ฆ

66% of resident doctors have voted to bank and build the government's pay offer. This is only step 1 of the journey to #FullPayRestoration The DDRB & this government are officially on notice: this truce will only hold if the 25/26 pay award continues the path to FPR by 2027/28

Dr Peter Fahey (@drpeterfahey) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Hugh Pym Enough to get the job done for this year. But clear anger remains within the profession and we will be back next year if government donโ€™t sustain our journey to pay restoration

Junior Doctors This turnout is much better than the 28%~ turnout back in the 2019 referendum. While we have voted yes, we must not let up the pressure on labour in fixing the profession. If the DDRB does not make significant inroads towards FPR for doctors, then we will be in dispute again.

PA Stephen Nash The โ€œevidenceโ€ argument is a fallacy. Plenty of evidence diagnostic reasoning is highly dependent on knowledge; plenty of evidence expertise in diagnosis depends on formal + experiential effortful learning, with coaching & feedback 1/2 โ€ฆ

Nicola Cooper (@cooper00nicola) 's Twitter Profile Photo

PA Stephen Nash 2/2 โ€ฆ which is *precisely why* medical training takes so much effort and time and hurdles. Drs also have well defined scope of practice, albeit not found in a single document. All of this designed for patient safety.
