We're in the teeth of Fantasy Football Draft season and I'm here to help, taking over the @yahoo account tomorrow to give you picks, fades, hot takes, answers to anything you need. Send in your questions now, using #YahooAnswers. Let's do this.

Questions like this usually come down to your roster shape (which position do you need more?), though I would definitely prefer Hopkins in a vacuum. The new Titans coaching staff looks ready to open up the offense after several run-heavy seasons. - scott pianowski

Although I would press CMC there, there’s something to be said for playing to your strengths. If you’re consistently beating your opponents to running back values (both in-draft and in-season), I understand a WR-heavy start. I do like robust WR rooms. - scott pianowski

Both strategies workable in a broad sense; the first key is examining the starting requirements. The smaller the starter count, the more likely I'll go stars and scrubs. If I'm in a league where something like three WRs and multiple flexes are needed, I usually pivot to depth. -

I love the Superflex format. Because the QB position is crazy-deep this year, I’d probably look to be one of the last teams to take my QB1 but the first to select my QB2. This would allow a hero-RB build (one primary back) and several WRs who start themselves. - scott pianowski

He showed so little in New York last year, I’m not optimistic for Cook going forward. Nothing wrong with Dallas kicking the tires, but I am not going to make a major change to my Dowdle or Elliott projections. - scott pianowski

Barkley makes me a little nervous, with his efficiency dipping and now tied to a quarterback who rarely throws to his backs. Hurts is also going to run in a bunch of touchdowns, we know that. Taylor was dominant in the second half of 2023, I’m confident he’ll thrive this year. -

It's OK. A sneaky secret to this draft pool is how flat the second round is. When I've had picks at the 12-13 turn, I've often seen several of my considerations last to the end of the round. MJH isn't a dunk pick at 13, but unless your league messes up, no one will feel like it.

I prefer not to draft backs on the same team because it caps my upside – it’s a little like bunting in baseball. I want you to play for the big inning, at least early in the year. And Miami also is high on rookie RB Jaylen Wright. Try to cover multiple backfields if you can. -

One of those Big Three hero backs (CMC, Hall, Robinson) looks good to me, if they slip to you (CMC probably won’t, the others might). If they all go, I shift to WR mode and make a game-night call between Tyreek Hill and CeeDee Lamb. I do like holding a Top 5 slot. -

Rachaad White makes me nervous. His 2023 fantasy season was all about volume, but creative offensive designer Dave Canales is gone and rookie Bucky Irving looks intriguing. I haven’t drafted White yet this summer. - scott pianowski

I would take CMC first overall but I understand those who want to shade a little younger with the fun picks of Bijan Robinson or Breece Hall. I want portfolio exposure to all of them. Obviously none of these players are likely to slide to 7; CMC surely won’t. - scott pianowski

Over the years of playing fantasy football, I’ve become more sensitive to player ages and career arcs. I try to grab players on the escalator, those who haven’t had their best seasons yet. Diggs is about six years older than Collins and Dell; I prefer the younger WRs. Fade Diggs.

This stings because Pacheco is already a big part of my portfolio. I still like him and I’ve only taken his projection down slightly, but it’s enough to make Etienne the clear pick. I’m also expecting the Jacksonville offense to improve; Lawrence a good target for your second QB.

I expect Penix to sit all year unless Cousins gets hurt. The big deal Cousins signed has to be respected, too. Atlanta’s facing the easiest schedule in the league by far (SOS only matters to me with outliers) and they hired a new OC at the right time. I’m excited in the ATL. -
