Fully implantable and bioresorbable cardiac pacemaker - pretty amazing technology with transformative potential from team at Northwestern Engineering and NM Cardiovascular Anna Pfenniger | Nature Biotechnology #healthtech nature.com/articles/s4158…
Bradley Knight Rod Passman Nice case with Rachel Kaplan 62 year old DCM, no endo scar, extensive epi scar with successful ablation site below with ECF. CMR with corresponding subepi & mesocardial scar. Negative PET-CT
Another great flutter with Albert Lin, MD this week! CW and CCW atypical flutter around incisional scar from TVR. Termination in one burn! Bradley Knight Rod Passman
Nice atypical atrial flutter case. History of previous PVI for #AFIB. Coherent clearly shows area of slow conduction through the Coumadin ridge (thanks Kevin Iverson, @BiosenseWebster). #EPeeps Bradley Knight
Great to connect with old friends at Women in EP. Brittney Heard Xu Gao #WomenInEP #EPeeps #WIC Abbott Cardiovascular
Terrific talk by Rod Passman about targeted AC for AF, and directions for future research. Great to see important work from Rachel Kaplan highlighted. The future is certainly exciting. #HRS2022 #EPeeps
Graham Peigh, MD, MSc NM Cardiovascular Excellent abstract presentation Heart Rhythm Society by Graham Peigh, MD, MSc today on the impact of AF ablation on physical activity levels. Rod Passman NM Cardiovascular
Joshua Sink presenting NM Cardiovascular data at Heart Rhythm Society tomorrow on esophageal temperature management during cryoballoon ablation Nishant Verma, MD, MPH
Nice incisional flutter case with Rachel Kaplan in patient with AVR, MV repair. Previous CTI flutter ablated in 2017. The speed and ease of characterizing atypical flutter circuits with HD mapping is astounding compared to our struggles in early 2000’s with non-CTI flutter
Congratulations to our NM Cardiovascular Anna Pfenniger for being awarded the Young Investigator Award, in the Basic Science category, by the Cardiac EP Society this year. She received the CES YIA award during HRS for her work with Rishi Arora and team on gene therapy for AF.
A quick follow-up to this case. As you can see the patient has an azygos continuation of her IVC. We decided to go transhepatically. Kush Desai obtained access and coiled close access.
Excited for the opportunity to explore "pill in pocket" anticoagulation for AF in the NIH-funded pivotal REACT-AF trial. Thank you to our partners NM Cardiovascular , Stanford Medicine, UCSF School of Medicine, NUCATS Institute, Trial Innovations , American Heart Association, Apple
Thank you Bradley Knight! It was an honor to train with such amazing and talented people! I’m grateful for all the lessons and opportunities. The last two years have been the highlight of my training! NM Cardiovascular
