Infection prevention, TID (TxID Early Career Network) and #TxIDchat folks, anyone out there having their SOT and BMT patients test negative for COVID-19 to return to clinic? Can't really find any good evidence on it. Looking for more expert guidance before changing institutional policy

It means something is wrong, and in past family have been told it was a UTI whether or not that was the most direct cause or even a relatively accurate diagnosis

This is so fundamentally a skill of a good ID doctor, and thanks to R Colgrove for putting it into words. I ask this to every patient, every day nejm.org/doi/full/10.10…

As someone who briefly cared for this patient, this work was incredible and it is great to see it out there for everyone to read. Congrats Madison Stellfox. Especially appreciate the patient gratitude sections. Adds a degree of humanity to the work that was evident to the case

Bit late for this, but anyone going to #sheaspring2024 and want to split an Uber to the galleria around 5:30? Hate to waste one car on myself

Is Ibrexafungerp available again yet? Considering it for a complex patient and the pharmacy chain I spoke with did not have it back in stock yet.

As I mentioned earlier, first job interview (aka the one I currently work at) effectively came through Twitter, and I used social media as a base filter for fellowship locations. Active allowed me to get an idea of what opportunities and colleagues I might work with #txidchat

Antibiotic use for sure, but I am wondering if water supply has a big role based on things I have seen more recently including sinks and drains Janet Stout from UPMC really changed my thinking around these topics
