Aid must get into Gaza but UNRWA is not the vehicle. UNRWA employees took part in the October 7th massacres. UNRWA schools teach antisemitism. Hamas uses UNRWA to further its terrorism. It’s naive, dangerous & shameful to divert British taxpayer cash to Hamas via UNRWA.

I was the 1st British politician to visit northern Israel & the border with Lebanon in several years. I met families displaced by the 1000s of rockets fired by Hezbollah at Israel since October 7th. Attacks all funded by the IRGC in Iran. Israel must continue to defend itself.

This is needless, naive & shameful by Labour. Israel does not depend on UK arms exports but this decision will harm our crucial security partnership. Just days after the brutal murders by Hamas, Labour has pandered to its extreme left wing & undermined security in the region.

The early signs are not good. Labour’s backsliding on China and failure to stand up for our national security put us all at risk. Me in the The Telegraph
