Justice Secretary Angela Constance visited Inverness to see the progress of the new Scottish Prison Service HMP Highland. Due for completion in 2026, it will increase custody capacity, improve rehabilitation services and provide significant investment to the local area.

Justice Secretary Angela Constance has laid a wreath Scottish Police Memorial Service today. She paid tribute to the bravery of officers who have tragically lost their lives on duty whilst serving our communities and said the thoughts of those in Scottish Government are with their loved ones.

Community Safety Minister Siobhian Brown MSP met with Shared Parenting Scotland to learn more about their work supporting separated parents. @ScotGov provide funding for their helpline and New Ways for Families training, designed to support parents and their children through separation.

The Police (Ethics, Conduct and Scrutiny) (Scotland) Bill seeks to improve the police complaints and police misconduct systems. Justice Secretary Angela Constance opened the Stage 1 debate and told Scottish Parliament that the Bill aims to strengthen public confidence in policing.
