The sportscotland Active Schools programme lets young people take part in sport. @ScotGov pledged to remove fees by 2026. First Minister John Swinney visited St Augustine’s RC High School in Edinburgh to mark the early delivery of this commitment.

All 3 and 4-year-olds and eligible 2-year-olds in Scotland are able to access 1140 hours of funded early learning and childcare thanks to @ScotGov support. If families paid for this themselves, it would cost them more than £5,500 per eligible child per year.

Staff in the Private and Third sector play a vital role in delivering early learning and childcare in Scotland. This year @ScotGov has provided £16 million to support a pay uplift to £12 an hour for these workers.
