Best part of The Society of Thoracic Surgeons bootcamp was the people. The #STS2025 program planning meeting, led by Annual Meeting Chair Dr. Stephanie Fuller and STS President Dr. Jennifer Romano, was held this past weekend in Chicago. "I left this weekend so excited for what will go down as one of the best STS annual meetings," said Dr. Romano.
STS Workforce on Health Policy Vice Chair Susan Moffatt-Bruce hosted Rep. Seth Moulton today at Lahey Hospital, touring the new UMass Chan-Lahey Regional Medical Campus & discussed key #STSadvocacy priorities, including lung cancer screening and healthcare workforce challenges.
In 2023, Dr. Chizoba Efobi was awarded a The Thoracic Surgery Foundation (TSF) scholarship and used it for an outreach trip to Uganda to join a medical mission group to increase the number of heart surgeries performed each year. Read more: ow.ly/3jgA50TeuSX #CTSurgery
