At the end of July, Dr. Hudak and our current and recent GURS fellows went to Honduras and in 1 week screened about 40 patients and performed 25 complex reconstructive surgeries. Dr. Hudak reports that the patients are recovering well and he looks forward to returning next year!

I don't long for the days of paper charts - but I can scarcely remember where the chart was while I was interacting with the patient. You know you've reached peak EHR efficiency when it moves from the foreground into a background tool. Efficiency for its own sake isn't useful

Little back-of-the-napkin port planning on a Tuesday morning. One of those days I wish we had a single port robot at every hospital - ideal for multi-quadrant surgery!

Final verdict: non-transecting side-to-side reimplant on left, buccal ureteroplasty on right (5cm after final spatulation). No new ports or repositioning required, just ✈️ the bed.
