The saddest week of SUNY Downstate General Surgery Residency in recent memory has come to a close. Our PGY2 Erfan Faridmoayer, MD passed away peacefully after sudden cardiac arrest. His legacy of dedication, altruism, and excellence shines as a radiant beacon.

We are devastated by the passing of one of our own, Erfan Faridmoayer, MD. Erfan was a kind, hardworking, and beloved member of the RAS-ACS American College of Surgeons family; his legacy will live on in his family, friends, SUNY Downstate General Surgery Residency community, and patients he cared for #RASfamily
