This is an outrageous move from the MHRA: "Whilst this study does not prove that valproate use in men increased the risk of problems in children, it is an important safety issue that warrants action on a precautionary basis." Parenting studies Clare Murphy gov.uk/government/new…
It is important to note that the MHRA are providing this advice as a precautionary response to a study which has shown a possible (& as yet unproven) risk of childhood developmental impairments. But this study has important limitations (see here for more onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.100…)
