No one fights against public education, Mr. Secretary. It's settled. We socialize the cost of educating every child; even the childless pay school taxes. The only question is whether the government exclusively should run schools or (like most other countries) merely fund them.

We are devastated to hear of the shooting at Apalachee High School in GA. Praying for the students, teachers and families affected by this horrific incident. Children deserve to be safe and to focus on learning in America’s public schools. We must make our schools safe again.
