On top of that, Spotify has literally the worst sound out of all the streaming sites. Their files are the most compressed, which means they've had the most life squeezed out of them. Ever heard of ogg vorbis? No? It's terrible. That's the codec Spotify uses.

I use Qobuz. What they're sent by the band/label is what you get - with no futzing. I've heard Apple is good since they've moved to streaming high res, but haven't checked it out. Tidal is okay, but they have a lot of MQA files, which sound wonky and are lossy.

Not only am I awfully lovely, but I'm also illiterate and couldn't tell what Gruff Rhys's signs said. I thought they said "shuck clams", so that's what I did.

If they're looking for a cure for their insomnia and/or hilarious inarticulateness and gratuitous profanity, absolutely!

I haven't seen Deerhoof in 2 months, so, no, I've been watching far too little Deerhoof.

I had the pleasure of working on this a few months back with Gruff. It was a ton of fun playing on the band's "legend" and rebuilding a bunch of parts with glitches and interference. It was also fun trying to make all of Gruff's many crazy ideas manifest through the speakers.

As hot off the presses as could be as we mastered it only yesterday afternoon. I've been a fan of Euros since 1996 or so and I truly think this is one of his best records - and he recorded it completely at home on the same 4 track early Gorky's records were made on.

It's been an insane amount of fun touring the UK and Europe thus far, but I'm especially excited to be headed to the land of my birth, chili cheese tots and lots of friends I miss the shit out of every single day.
