What I like about Kamal is that your entire infra is a single YAML file, and you own the entire thing. You can migrate everything just by changing the IP address. No vendor lock-in, no having to rely on a single provider. It's honestly really nice.

Here's a small Kamal + Astro + Postgres (with s3 backups) repo that I put together last night. It works fairly well from what I've been able to test so far. I ran a few tests and it's able to handle just under 1k requests / second while hitting the database once per request on

Someone please take this, add auth and stripe webhooks, and sell it as a boilerplate that doesn't require 20 SaaS dev tools.
