2/2 Thanks to the Direct Seeding team for making the considerable effort to get the gent machine here again this year. Will be reinstalling moisture probes with Mingenew Irwin Group and looking forward to actually having some moisture in the soil this year to assess the different systems.

These moisture probes are being installed as part of our Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Future Drought Fund Drought Resilient Soils & Landscapes Program. This demonstration is looking at groundcover management practices & conservation of soil moisture between Disc vs Tyne.

Conditions have been favourable for the sclerotinia disease cycle this season. Keep an eye out for presence of disease in your lupin & canola crops. Apothecia was found in the Geraldton DPIRD Broadacre - WA Grains & Livestock sclerote depot. We are keeping a watchful eye on our Mingenew depot GRDC West
