When patients are nearly ready to go home, we might ask them to wait in our discharge lounge for medication or to be collected. The discharge lounge is a fully-staffed, relaxing space away from the busy wards. It also helps our teams free up more beds for other patients.

Thank you to our Estates and Facilities team, alongside partners at Serco Group who have recently completed work to refurbish 12 theatres in the hospital.👏 The work saw repairs to pendants and lighting, control panels, new flooring, and the redecoration of operating spaces.🏥🦴
