#GGSimon met with Chief Deborah Robinson, leader of the Wasoqopa’q First Nation. This meeting enabled the Governor General to learn more about the Nation’s priorities and issues.

Last night, #GGSimon greeted the crowd at the #NationalAcadianDay concert, which affirmed that the heart of Acadia beats to the rhythm of its music. 🎶 #CMA2024

Through hands-on activities and discussions, #GGSimon learned more about The Flower Cart Group’s impactful role in helping adults with diverse abilities or facing barriers to employment find a meaningful place in the workforce.

#GGSimon was glad for the opportunity to thank volunteer members of the Wolfville Fire Department for their relief efforts during last month’s floodings.

#GGSimon was moved by her visit to the Canadian National Vimy Memorial. As #CommanderInChief, she laid a wreath in honour of the ~100 000 Canadians who served there, nearly 3 600 of whom never made it home. #CanadaRemembers
