If there’s one brand that Labour have become very-well associated with lately, it’s cycling… So it’s very weird to see Cllr. Lacey calling for the reduction of cycling space, to facilitate two-way car travel… on a Greenway project

The first part of the #TransportPlan has now been implemented!! Bus gates on the quays at O’Connell bridge will really help to reduce congestion, noise and air pollution in the core City Centre, and make it a much nicer place to live, work, and visit

The Dublin #TransportPlan is a Council project that has cross-party support…. But sure, let’s blame it on the Greens, because that’s so cool to do these days

It’s not every day you get to celebrate a new train station opening Despite it being built years ago… it’s great to finally see services stopping at it!!

🧵Yesterday, I spoke to The Hard Shoulder about the upcoming e-scooter ban on public transport This is a terrible decision by the NTA, all products sold in Ireland have to pass the stringent EU safety standards, which should be enough for safe use link.goloudplayer.com/s/pGSresIZeo7C

Eoghan 🇮🇪 Dublin Commuters They are already banned from them. As are cars. But yet I can walk down the street in almost every town, city and village and find cars illegally on footpaths. I think we need to deal with the biggest risk first.

I can’t be 100% sure but I guess the answer is “you, Michael McDowell weren’t alive in the 19th century, to object to everything”? irishtimes.com/opinion/2024/0…

€18,611 per bike that can fit in the new storage facility in Leinster House…. Here’s a thought, use that money to reinstate the gardens, remove the cars and put in some bike lockers instead This shouldn’t be that complicated, or outrageously expensive

The Economist just published this incredible and tragic chart. Given how many people are killed each year by big cars, it's worth understanding how we got here. Story time 🧵

This is what an efficient bus and active travel network should look like 🙌 🚌 🚶‍♀️ 🚲 ♿️ This is at 8:50am. Each bus is near full. Well done Dublin City Council 👏 And everyone involved in making sure the Transport Plan went through Dublin Commuters

The Transport Plan is working well!! Bus transit times across the city are getting much better, and reportedly traffic within the core of the City Centre is moving well (even better than before in some places) The 24 hour Bus Gate needs to happen as soon as possible

Grand Central Station in Belfast opens this weekend and will instantly become the biggest integrated transit hub on the island It will cut 15 minutes off the Dublin Enterprise journey and leave you much more central in Belfast city rte.ie/news/2024/0906…
