Ever wonder about the effectiveness of medical therapy for idiopathic frequent PVCs (>5%)? - Beta-blockers and Calcium channel blockers are ineffective. - Class I and III Antiarrhythmic drugs were more effective but suppressed PVCs (to <1%) in only 1/3 onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/jc…

#MapMonday Copenhagen Gentofte Arrhythmia Group 🫀 showing us that even the most "typical" of arrhythmias can be beautiful! This propagation map with #Coherent vectors overlaid pinpoints the leak in a previous CTI line. #EPeeps

Why is the preexcited QRS usually wider with R-sided accessory pathways than L-sided? 🤔 It's a race!🏃‍♀️ And whoever gets a head start tends to win!

Decremental atrial pacing (DAP) is actually more relevant than atrial extrastimulus testing (AET) in disclosing the presence of a slow pathway. The difference is that DAP uniquely uncovers slow pathways having stability: those capable of conducting 1:1 over a range of PCL.

What happened to the delta wave during SVT?? 🤔 Just think about the activation pattern during sinus vs during AVRT, and that will give you the answer!

#IssaTweetorials 1/ What are the types of CTI-dependent atrial macroreentry? CTI-dependent macroreentrant atrial tachycardias (MRATs) are confined to the RA & incorporate the CTI as a critical part of the circuit. All these MRATs can be eliminated by CTI ablation. #EPeeps

1/🧵 Why does Wenckebach AV nodal block (aka Mobitz type 1) present with progressive prolongation of the PR interval and eventually a non-conducted P wave?  What causes this unique EKG pattern to arise? #medtwitter #tweetorial
