Congrats Babar and Bill and the entire NCSI team for your vision to show the impact of best practices with early LV unloading in AMI cardiogenic shock improving survival for these very sick patients. We will test this observation in the RECOVER IV RCT.William W. O'Neill Navin Kapur
Super day in Zurich at the Andreas Gruntzig Cath Lab with Dr Christian Templin, and in the historic amphitheater where Andreas taught many physicians. His stunning innovative spirit is alive and well today in each of us.George W. Vetrovec Robert W. Yeh Navin Kapur William W. O'Neill Gregg W. Stone MD
Sanjit Jolly Abiomed Gregg W. Stone MD William W. O'Neill Congratulations Sanjit Jolly ! We are thrilled to have you and Hamilton Health Sciences join the #STEMI #DTU family as we target the Holy Grail of myocardial reperfusion injury and #heartfailure after a #heartattack Abiomed Johnson & Johnson MedTech
Great to kick off the true 9F Impella ECP investigational cases at Providence St Vincent’s in Portland! What a superb team! Thanks to Jason Wollmuth for his leadership.Jason Wollmuth Ethan Korngold, MD Amir Kaki, MD Haroon Faraz Aditya Bharadwaj
Excellent day in the lab with Ray Matthews, Jubin Joseph and team at USC Keck this week kicking off their first 9F Impella ECP investigational cases which were high-risk and complex with very nice outcomes.Jubin Joseph, MD PhD Ray Matthews, MD Amir Kaki, MD
This is truly the next generation of intravascular imaging that will change the world of PCI and improve patient outcomes.Gregg W. Stone MD Ziad Ali Evan Shlofmitz Allen Jeremias Kevin Croce MD, PhD Ethan Korngold, MD Jason Wollmuth David J. Cohen, MD, MSc B. Hadley Wilson MD C. Michael Gibson MD
Grateful to Circ: Heart Failure for reporting our work exploring a new approach to optimize #unloading by mechanically targeting preload. This opens opportunities to reduce pump speed, decrease hemolysis, and employ 'smaller pumps' to achieve 'big pump' physiology. #CVPhysiology A-CURE Working Group
So excited for ACC.24 Opening on Saturday when my partner and friend Hadley Wilson will give the Presidential Address and open 2024 ACC! He is a true servant leader who has given his all to promote U.S. and global CV education, access, and diversity. B. Hadley Wilson MD George W. Vetrovec
Terrific opening of the 75th Year of ACC this morning and congrats and thanks to Dr Hadley Wilson of the Sanger Clinic and Advocate Health, Charlotte NC for his devotion and service as ACC President this past year.B. Hadley Wilson MD C. Michael Gibson MD Dr. Robert M. Califf Gregg W. Stone MD
Congratulations to Jacob Moller and DanGer Shock investigators for this independent RCT showing that Impella CP reduces mortality in STEMI cardiogenic shock. ACC Late breaker and NEJM publication today. First ever for MCS in STEMI shock. Gregg W. Stone MD William W. O'Neill Navin Kapur
Great day today for vulnerable plaque (VP) PCI! Superior to OMT. Guess who was there? Jim Muller father of VP, Patrick Serruys and Gregg Stone. Long history for us guys in VP + PCI.Gregg W. Stone MD C. Michael Gibson MD Ron Waksman B. Hadley Wilson MD
Agree Aditya. OCT/NIRS with Spectrawave DeepOCT could be much quicker and more precise on TCFA, LCBI, MLA and PB. More to come! Gregg W. Stone MD Eman Namati

Congrats to Ziad Ali and the ILUMIEN IV team! This clinical composite endpoint is the most important for patients. OCT has tremendous resolution allowing fast automated lesion measures to guide PCI. Patients first everyone! Ziad Ali Allen Jeremias Kevin Croce MD, PhD Jason Wollmuth
As you’ve said, impossible to pool unloading (mAFP in DanGer) with loading (VA ECMO) devices, the latter which dilute the positive cardiac effects of mAFP seen in DanGer. DanGer outcomes with mAFP dominate the positive outcomes of this meta-analysis. Gregg W. Stone MD Navin Kapur
