What a week attending ECI2024 in Dublin plus PhD viva of Maureen in Luke O'Neill lab. Then crushing British Society for Research on Ageing meeting in Brum Niharika Duggal and then British Atherosclerosis Society meeting organised by Guzik and Smart. Spent time and had conversations with some of my favourite people in science.

In 2015, I presented data showing the immunological properties of the byproduct of metabolism lactate in Titisee in Germany. In 2024, I received this invite to present the data of 12 years of work of my group to the Nobel Conference… Never have I ever…thought of that!
