Last week, Beihang University invited the delegation of Groupe INSA, four directors and the head of its Chinese projects, for a visit to the campus, aiming to further promote and implement strategic cooperation between the two universities.

Beihang University hosted a Forum and Achievement Exhibition on Sino-French Cooperative Education from June 29-30, celebrating 60 years of China-France diplomatic relations and 20 years of the Sino-French Engineer School.

From June 20-23, Vice President Zhao Weisheng led a delegation to Italy and France. They visited Politecnico di Milano and Politecnico di Torino, discussing expanded degree programs and joint labs. In Paris, they attended the Sino-French Education Development Forum.

Researchers at Beihang University have developed a solar-powered micro UAV, "CoulombFly", achieving sustained flight solely on natural sunlight. This breakthrough, led by Prof. Qi Mingjing and Prof. Yan Xiaojun, promises extended flight durations for micro UAVs.

Researchers led by Wang Fan, and in collaboration with Chang Lingqian, have developed a super-resolution photon force microscope. Their study is detailed in 'Sub-femtonewton force sensing in solution by super-resolved photonic force microscopy,' published in Nature Photonics.

Beihang Aeromodelling Team was crowned grand champions of this year’s UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) Challenge. The team conducted over a hundred test flights and adjustments, ultimately overcoming technical challenges to achieve autonomous drone control without manual intervention
