Justice Secretary Angela Constance visited Inverness to see the progress of the new Scottish Prison Service HMP Highland. Due for completion in 2026, it will increase custody capacity, improve rehabilitation services and provide significant investment to the local area.

Social Justice Secretary Shirley-Anne Somerville has confirmed a new Cabinet Sub-Committee on Child poverty will drive progress towards the eradication of child poverty, @Scotgov’s top priority. This will ensure that the full weight and authority of Cabinet is focused on this mission.
